Title    

Basic SARS User Training

 

Description

This is basis training for day to day users of SARS, such as those staff who input data.

 

Content

Clients – Adding Clients, Editing Client Details, Moving Rooms (or accommodation), Stopping & Restarting Client Support.

Support Time – Recording Support Time, Editing and Deleting Support Time Records.

Availability – Maintaining Unit/Service Availability.

Reports Part 1 - Support Time Reports, Occupancy Reports, Understanding the Reports.

Common Errors and Basic Checks *

 

* The techniques used depend largely on how your business operates.

 

 

Note

During the training session each Delegate is expected to carryout a number of computer based exercises using a SARS training database.

 

Prerequisites

Delegates are required to have basic computer skills.

Title    

Managers SARS User Training

 

Description

This is for those staff who manage the support workers and who would be responsible for carrying our higher level tasks.

 

Content

Review of Session 1.

Support Plans – Creating and Using Support Plans. Support Plan Reports.

Deleting Support Time Entries.

Support Worker – Changing their Contact details and Managing the Support Workers Clients.

Reports Part 2 - Generating and Understanding the Contract Performance Workbooks (PI’s). Generating Client Record Forms. Management Reports and Diversity Statistics.

Training the Responsible Person

 

Description

This training is for the member of staff who will be responsible for the overall operation of SARS within your organisation

 

Content

Clients –Deleting Clients and the associated issues.

Understanding your Supporting People requirements and how they relate to SARS.

Support Workers – Adding new staff, dealing with staff that change posts or leave the organisation.

Posts - Understanding Posts and Dealing with Changes.

Properties – Adding Properties.

General Administration – Managing user accounts, Record Support Time Task Lists and Support Plan Manager,

 

 

Note

During the training session each Delegate is expected to carryout a number of computer based exercises using a (non SQL) SARS training database.

 

Prerequisites

Completed Session 1 and 2, basic computer skills, an understanding of your business operation.

 

Duration

Up to 4hrs.

 

 The Data Protection Act

Title    

Introduction to the Data Protection Act - Understanding and Guidance

 

Description

This training gives and introduction to the Data Protection Act and how to implement the principles within your organisation

 

Content

 

 

Note

It is recommended that the second part of this training, implementation in your organisation, is done after consultation with your appointed Data Protection co-ordinator. This helps to ensure that advise given is specific to your own organisations working practices.
